The Annual Summer Research Symposium will be held in person in the MLK Parlors on Thursday, July 31, 2025  from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.  Undergraduate students, high school and middle school students conducting research at DSU this summer are welcome to submit an abstract and participate in the Symposium. Prizes for best posters will be presented in several categories.  The poster session will run from approximately 9:30 am - 11:45 am, followed by lunch. There will be a keynote speaker presentation from 12 - 1:00 pm and the award ceremony will be from 1:00 - 1:30 pm.

Abstracts for  posters should be 250 - 400 words with a short, informative title.   Presenters may submit their abstract for themselves, or the program director or research mentor may submit it on their behalf. 

The posters themselves will need to be printed at 4 ft by 3 ft or smaller. Poster boards and easels will be provided at the symposium.  Poster set up will be start at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30 and posters must be set up by 9:00 am on Thursday, July 30th.

There are TWO deadlines for registration:

Monday, July 21, 2025  11:00 pm - Submission deadline for poster abstracts

Wednesday, July 30, 2025  11:59 am - Registration deadline to attend the symposium .
