Requirements for funding

Supported students are required to be enrolled in DSU's STEM PhD programs in Applied Chemistry, Neuroscience of Optics, fulfill all of the requirements of their program, and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA. They are required to be full-time students and carry out an original research project under the supervision of a faculty mentor.  Students are expected to devote themselves full-time to their graduate studies including at least 20 hours/week to working on their research project.  If supported by the T32 program students are required to participate in program professional development activities including a weekly meeting.
